Rice

One main ingredient of nearly every dish in K-Dramaland is rice and a rice cooker is thus indispensable for every household. Next to plain rice, there are other sorts of rice like mixed grain or lotus leaf rice. Before cooking it, people often wash the rice.
If in a restaurant or at home, rice is always served in a small bowl next to the other dishes.
