In K-Dramaland, people qcome down with a fever all the time when they have been in the cold or rain for a little while, when heartbroken or stressed out. It usually ends after a few hours. Often somebody stays at the sick person’s side and will wipe their sweat off their face and nuke with an unfolded towel. Or they will lay a wet towel on the sick person’s forehead and once in a while refresh the towel in a water-filled plastic bowl. Once able to eat,they will be fed congee.
To find out if somebody has a fever, people in K-Dramaland usually do not use a clinical thermometer; they will hold their own forehand with one hand and feel the temperature of the forehead of the potentially sick person.
